ChristmasDay, 2005: Several families of Marines from the 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment state appear on The Today Show, as a family that met on the web site MarineParents.com. Their sons were all stationed together as the 1/8 in Fallujah, Iraq in the winter of 2004. After meeting on the web site message boards, they realized they were within a 70 mile radius of each other.

I flew to Atlanta for MarineParents.com to be featured on CNN Headline News with Erica Hill of Hotwired on Friday, April 11, 2003. They aired two interviews, 8:45 p.m. & 9:45 p.m. Eastern time. We've also been on local ABC, NBC, and CBS affiliates as well as sister stations in the Midwest.
We've been on numerous radio stations around the world including the BBC broadcasting out of Washington DC, as well as radio stations in New Zealand and Australia. July 28, 2003: The BBC out of the UK has talked with us several times over the course of the last week. We've been featured on "The World Today" out of London, the "Live Five" morning show as well as a couple other programs. They have a great deal of interest in how we as families are holding up with the challenges still being faced by our Marines in Iraq, as well as what we do to keep this new online community functioning and providing services to Marine Corps families.
