Shelley (Shelley Klug) from Prole, IA

and
Shelley lives in central Iowa and is a proud mother of two children. Her oldest
daughter is working full time and taking online college courses. Her Marine son
graduated boot camp in September of 2019. She also plays the role of a 'dog mom'
to her son's Australian Shepherd. He said 'I'll do all the work, you won't have to do
anything at all' .....and then he joined the Marines. Cali (dog) is a piece of him that is
still at home, so she doesn't mind the duties. Due to Covid-19, her 28-year career in
the travel industry has come to an end and she is looking forward to the next
chapter in her life. They enjoy traveling and boating with family and friends every
chance they get. She is very proud of both their children's accomplishments.
MarineParents was a life saver to her during boot camp. There are so many questions,
fears, and unknown things and the volunteers did a wonderful job providing answers
and relating to her fears, that she wanted to give back the same services and support
to other parents who are experiencing this for the first time.
