Georgann is a new Marine MoM born and raised in New York. She and her husband,
Daniel,
have two children, their daughter being the eldest. Her daughter travels the world
enjoying
stunning experiences thanks to her career in hospitality marketing and PR.
After completing three semesters of college, Georgann's son made the best decision
to join
the USMC. He is following in the footsteps of his step-grandfather and best friend,
who
served during the Vietnam War. Her son is currently serving overseas. Georgann
has been a
perioperative nurse for the last 31 years.
When her son went off to boot camp, Georgann scoured the internet, seeking any
and all
information about having a child in boot camp and what she could expect over the
next 13
weeks. When she came across MarineParents.com, she knew she had found a
source with
a wealth of information - exactly what she was looking for! She immediately joined all
applicable MP FB groups. There, she found a rich reservoir of support she never
expected!
After her son graduated boot camp, she felt the desire to "pay it forward" and be
there for
other Marine family members, just as she had received support.
