Greetings Marine Families!
If this is the first edition of the MarineParents.com Newsletter you have received, WELCOME! If you are a returning reader we are glad you have joined us.
We've got a very heartwarming story about a group of Marines in our newsletter this month-Marines who have come together to help one another with combat recovery in a very unique way. Be sure to click the link in the newsletter at the end of the excerpt to read it in full.
We would like to thank Gunny R. Lee Ermey for his support of us during the Pepsi Refresh Everything campaign while we worked to garner votes to win the $250,000 grant for our wounded warriors. We had the pleasure of working with the Gunny for the HR 24 legislation (see update below) and it was during that work, that he graciously agreed to help out the organization in other ways if possible. Thank you Gunny!
Though it appears we're stuck at number 8 on the Pepsi voting, and the voting finishes April 30, it is with a great deal of appreciation that we extend to each of you our heartfelt thanks for taking the time to vote during this month. We've decided we won't throw in the towel until midnight April 30, so please take one last opportunity to vote and listen to the Gunny's message to each of us. Ooh Rah and Semper Fi!

Is Your Marine Deployed? | | Care Package Project™ and Unit Information
If your Marine is deployed, we have two questions for you:
1 - Have you found your Marine's Unit Information Page?
The UIP (Unit Information Page) includes unit history and location, USMC contact information and web sites for each unit. In addition, the UIP contains Marine Parents message board links and the chat room schedule for that unit, giving you "a Place to Connect & Share" with other Marine families.
Find your Marine's unit. Search by Unit Name, Specific Category such as Air Wings or Infantry Units, Primary Base Location, or Marine Division.
2 - Have you signed your Marine up to receive a package from The Care Package Project?™
Care packages sent through The Care Package Project™ contain the labor, love and prayers of hundreds of volunteers and donators.
They also contain cards and letters written by children and adults from across the nation. Support from perfect strangers truly boosts the morale of our combat deployed Marines.
